Health and Safety Initiatives |
Overview |
1 |
Thorough Implementation of 5S*1 |
Monthly workplace inspections and 5S checks during safety and health events |
2 |
Near Miss/Risk Management*2 |
By promoting near misses, we are improving employee safety awareness, and by managing risks, we are taking steps to mitigate potential dangers in advance. |
3 |
Work Environment Measurement |
In accordance with legal and proprietary rules, we measure chemical substances, temperature, light intensity, working posture, etc. and report the results to the Safety and Health Committee. |
4 |
Regular Health Check-ups and Medical Examinations |
Once a year, all employees are provided with a regular health checkup or medical examination at their own choice. We aim for a 100% recheck participation rate for those identified as needing further examination based on health checkup results. Additionally, for individuals with metabolic syndrome or those at risk, targeted health guidance is provided during work hours according to the level of risk. |
5 |
Health Check Results |
We have implemented a check function that allows individuals to "understand" their health through viewing their health examination results and centralized management within the system, enabling them to "change" themselves based on their examination results. |
6 |
Industrial Physician and Nurse Allocation |
An industrial physician is available three times a month, and a nurse is on duty full-time to provide health consultations and promotion to employees. |
7 |
Health Promotion Measures |
We plan health events such as encouraging daily morning radio exercises, team-based "walking campaigns," and off-site hikes for families. T-LINKS has an arena (gymnasium), a stretching area, and a gym equipped with various exercise machines, which employees can use freely to help improve their health. |
8 |
Promoting Mental Health |
We conduct stress checks and hold individual interviews with high-stress individuals and high-stress organizations. |
9 |
Measures to Combat Long Working Hours |
We conduct medical interviews with employees who work long hours, and for those who are subject to follow-up measures, we work closely with industrial physicians and superiors to provide individual guidance. |
10 |
Return to Work Support System |
We operate a return-to-work support system to facilitate smooth return to work after sick leave or time off due to injury or illness and to prevent recurrence. Under this system, with the involvement of industrial physicians and industrial health staff, we provide monthly follow-up support for employees who are unwell during their leave of absence and after they return to work. |
11 |
Group Long-Term Disability Income Compensation Scheme |
In preparation for the risk of being unable to work, we have introduced a system that provides a fixed percentage of income compensation up to retirement age to those who are unable to work due to illness or injury. |
12 |
Cancer Prevention |
To help employees balance work and treatment, we have introduced a system whereby employees receiving outpatient cancer treatment can take medical leave in one-day or half-day increments. In addition, optional tests such as gynecological examinations and prostate cancer screenings are available at the company's expense during health checkups.
|
13 |
Promotion of Non-Smoking |
Smoking is prohibited throughout the premises, and non-smokers are provided with a monthly "health maintenance promotion allowance." We support the purchase of smoking cessation aids recommended by health insurance associations. |
